2027 F1 calendar: dates for Miami, Austin and Las Vegas, and why none of them has a Sprint
The 2027 calendar has 24 Grands Prix and 10 Sprints. Miami runs April 30 to May 2, Austin October 22 to 24 and Las Vegas November 18 to 20, and all three are standard weekends.

The 2027 season will again visit the United States three times, and American fans can already plan around the dates. The calendar, announced on September 16 by the FIA and Formula 1 after approval by the World Motor Sport Council, has 24 Grands Prix in 22 countries and a record 10 Sprint weekends.
The three US races
| Race | 2027 dates | Race day | Sprint? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Miami Grand Prix | April 30 to May 2 | Sunday, May 2 | No |
| United States Grand Prix, Austin | October 22 to 24 | Sunday, October 24 | No |
| Las Vegas Grand Prix | November 18 to 20 | Saturday, November 20 | No |
Miami stays in its spring slot as the sixth round, after Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Japan and China, and before Canada, according to the FIA. Austin and Las Vegas are part of the closing run of the season with Mexico City and São Paulo, before the finale in Qatar and Abu Dhabi. Las Vegas keeps its Saturday night race, which means very late evening viewing on the East Coast.
Why the US misses out on Sprints
The number of Sprint events rises from six to ten in 2027, yet none lands in the US. The FIA says Bahrain, Australia, Japan, Monaco and Abu Dhabi will host Sprints for the first time, while Montréal, Silverstone, Monza, São Paulo and Lusail keep or regain the format. USA Today also reported the record Sprint count when the calendar was released.
That is a change for Miami, which was one of six Sprint weekends in 2026. For fans attending in person, a standard weekend means three practice sessions instead of one, with qualifying on Saturday and the main event on Sunday. You can follow all of our Miami coverage on the Miami hub.
Other changes worth knowing
Preseason testing takes place in Bahrain from February 24 to 27, and the championship opens there too. Portugal returns in June after Monaco, and Türkiye rejoins in October between Azerbaijan and Singapore, per the FIA announcement. In his statement, FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem pointed to "the return of Portugal and Türkiye" as a highlight.
The calendar also matters for Cadillac, the American team, which will be heading into its second season. Our 2027 driver market tracker and the Cadillac hub follow who will be driving.
Tickets
The official ticket store already lists the 2027 Las Vegas race. Grid and Pit has not seen confirmed general sale dates or prices for 2027 at any of the three US events, so treat any figures you see elsewhere with care until the promoters publish them.
