F1 2027 driver market: Camara joins Haas, Ocon is out, Cadillac stays quiet
Haas has signed Formula 2 leader Rafael Câmara for 2027 in place of Esteban Ocon, expects to keep Oliver Bearman, and Cadillac has not confirmed its drivers.

The biggest confirmed move for 2027 so far is at the American team Haas, which has signed Formula 2 championship leader Rafael Câmara on a multiyear contract, the team announced on October 15. He replaces Esteban Ocon, who leaves at the end of 2026 and has no seat for next year, AP reported.
Haas: Câmara in, Bearman expected to stay
Câmara is 21, a member of the Ferrari driver academy, and the reigning Formula 3 champion, according to Formula 1. Haas says he tested its older car at Portimão in August. BBC Sport reported that he was picked over Leonardo Fornaroli, Jack Doohan and Ryo Hirakawa.
Haas has not yet confirmed its other driver. Team principal Ayao Komatsu told the BBC: "It is our intention to continue with Ollie. It is just a matter of timing and finalising certain details."
Cadillac: no confirmation
Cadillac has raced 2026 with Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas. In Austin, team principal Marcin Budkowski declined to say whether either driver is under contract for 2027, saying the team would make "official releases" when the time is right, Motorsport Week reported. He said "pretty much all" drivers on the market had contacted him, without naming anyone.
